Cheap Vehicle Quote, Porsche recalling 2010 911 GT3 over faulty rear wheel hubs
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration just announced that Porsche is recalling several hundred 911 GT3 sportscars, built for the 2010 model year. The cars in question are being recalled for potentially faulty rear-wheel hubs. These hubs cold be prone to failure under “certain driving conditions.” The specific driving conditions in question are not noted. If the rear-wheel hub fails, one could lose control of the track-oriented Porsche, which would not be pretty at speed.
455 units of the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3, produced between May 15, 2009 and February 11, 2010, are involved in the recall. Porsche is notifying owners, and has stated that it will replace the rear wheel hubs, free of charge. Additionally, Porsche will change the service intervals, as the current intervals may be “insufficient to prevent wheel hub failure.
